Cell Technology's team consists of professionals and advisors with many years of experiences in networking technology, hi-tech development, and business strategy development in Information & Communication Technology (ICT) industry. Cell advisory members provide insightful advice and strategic direction to management team on targets of geographic regions, to identify our technology trends and market segments, as well as to make invaluable introductions to strategic business partners and customers.

Cell Technology also consists of young and passionate R&D talents for the Internet Protocol (IP) technology research & development, engineering and product design. Cell R&D team is located in the Hong Kong SAR as headquartered office and as well as formation of technology research collaboration with Hong Kong's universities. By working closely together with our teammates and advisors, Cell Technology has designed; developed and delivered our innovative technologies at optimal cost of our product solutions for the Asia Pacific market and extend to worldwide.


Key Team Members
With 20 years of telecommunication network development & technology experience in former Hong Kong Telecom/PCCW, a reputable telecom operator in Hong Kong and regional sales & business development experience in two former US based hi-tech startups in Asia Pacific. They were Premisys Communication Inc (acquired by Zhone Technologies in 1999) and Amplify.net Inc (its technology acquired by Takachiho Koheki in 2004). Derek is very strong acumen in managing and developing new network technology, business and service in ICT industry. From 1999 to 2005, he gave many speeches on telecommunication business & technologies to the industrial and government institutions in Hong Kong. At the same time, he also served as the consultant in a public-listed Japanese networking company and a US based Metro-Ethernet/Optical network manufacturer in Asia Pacific.

Derek holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronic Engineering with First Class Honors from City University of Hong Kong under the Hong Kong Telecom's professional engineer scheme. He is specializing in mobile and telecommunication engineering.
With 20 years of strong sales and business development experience in former Cisco Systems in Japan, Inada was responsible for partner sales and high touch sales section in Cisco Systems from 1994 to 2002 and achieved over U$200M sales within 3-year starting from scratch. He also served business consultant for several well-known US-based network manufacturers in the past years to manage and develop sales and business in Telecommunication sectors for Japan market. He had established a success track record of overseas business ventures with local partnership. Inada is managing local sales and support team of Cell Japan to support local Japanese partners and customers at the first line basis.
With strong practical experience in open and embedded Linux kernel system, hi-technology research and lecturing at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Clarence joined Cell Technology in 2007 to setup R&D team, manage software design, development and engineering of Cell core technologies into product solutions.

Clarence holds a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) of Computer Science & Engineering and as well as a Bachelor of Computer Engineering degree from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). He was actively in robotic development and ABU Robocon Competition during his graduate stage. He specialized in voice over Internal Protocol (VoIP) processing research and development.
With strong experience in various Operating Systems (OS) design and Network Processor (NP) technology, Sam joined Cell Technology in 2006 to setup R&D team, manage innovative IP technology research, and system architecture design. Sam was the founder and CTO of one popular web hosting service portal developed in Hong Kong in 1999 during his under-graduate stage.

Sam holds the Bachelor of Engineering of Computer Engineering with First Class Honor from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). He achieved many international software & technology awards from ACM-ICPC Asia Pacific, ABU Robocon Competition, World Skills Competition and etc. He specialized in Peer to Peer (P2P) protocol processing, network security research, design and development.

Advisory Members
Dr. Toda is initially a key advisor during Cell Technology was reformed to a network technology startup in Asia Pacific. He provides Cell Technology invaluable introductions; technology & development insight, formulate strategic direction and formation of partnership alliance in Japanese market.

Dr. Toda is a pioneer of the computer industry in Japan over 40 years of technology research & development, engineering and executive management experience. As a Researcher at NTT in 1958, he was engaged in the research of a parametron computer called MUSASINO 1(the second oldest computer in Japan) and then led the design of a telephone billing computer CM-100, a PL/1 compiler, and the development of DIPS large-scale online computer series. He then became Manager & Director at NTT of the development projects for DIPS computers, DCNA network architecture and establishing advanced laboratories focusing on the development of data communication and processing. These projects contributed not only to improve the NTT business but also to foster the computer industry in Japan.

In 1988, Dr. Toda was promoted to be Senior Executive Vice president of R&D at NTT. NTT's R&D was a Japanese counterpart of Bell Telephone Laboratories, covering the areas from basic research, material science, electronic devices, sub-systems to application with more than 8,000 engineers and scientists.

In 1992 he was recruited by Fujitsu as Executive Vice President of its Network Development Business Group which he developed to generate revenue of $200M. From 1997 to 2004, Dr. Toda worked as a Fujitsu Fellow at Fujitsu Laboratories focusing on network QoS and e-commerce.

In 2004 he founded Studio IT LLP, a consulting partnership, with the people who share of concerns about "NIH" or "Island View" of Japanese IT industry and academia. Studio IT aims at achieving the collaboration in the world wide industries by being direct involvement as a Business Advisor. In addition, he serves as an advisor for ATA Ventures (a Silicon Valley Venture Capital).

Dr. Toda was a visiting professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of California in Berkeley, at Waseda University and Tokyo Engineering University in Japan as well as the invited lectures at MIT, Tokyo University, Nagoya University and many others. He published a dozen of books and more than thirty papers, and he gave more than twenty keynote/invited talks at the prominent international conferences such as Telecom, Globecom, ISS and ICDCS.

He was also a member of Japan Science Council, President of Information Processing Society of Japan and President of Japan Society of Industrial and Applied Mathematics. He holds a BSc, MSc and PhD Degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tokyo. Dr. Toda is a fellow of IEEE, Information Processing Society of Japan and the Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers of Japan.

He received many awards, including Achievement Award by Director General, Science and Technology Agency, IEEE Third Millennium Award, The Computer Society Outstanding Contribution Award and Golden Core Member, the Information Processing Society of Japan Contribution Award, Institute of Electronic, Information and Communications Engineers of Japan Achievement Award and Okawa Award for the best technical book of the year 2001. He was awarded with the violet ribbon decoration from the Emperor in 1997. His areas of expertise cover computer architecture, computer networking, software engineering, e-Commerce, R&D management.
Dr. Hou joins Cell Technology, as an advisor to provide insightful technology advice and identify our technology trends and market segments globally.

Dr. Hou is a pioneer of network technology in US startup who brings with him over 30 years of product research & development, engineering and executive management experiences. In 2005-2008, he was President & CEO of Mobile Crossing, that designed and developed GPS navigation technology in USA. Prior to Mobile Crossing, he was the founder and CTO of Amplify.net Inc, which designed, developed and marketed IP QoS, bandwidth management and multi-homing technologies worldwide.

Dr. Hou had worked over 20 years of R&D and executive technology management experience of numerous technology companies including Esprit Systems Inc, the U.S. subsidiary of ADI, Counterpoint which was acquired by Acer Corporation, and Convergent Technologies. Raymond was also a member of technical staff for Bell Laboratories where he developed message based networking operation system for Bell Data Network Architecture.

Dr. Hou holds his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Taiwan's prestigious Chiao Tung University. He also holds a Master of Science and PhD degrees in Information Science from California Institute of Technology.
Mr. Chan joins Cell Technology, as a technology advisor to provide professional, technology and engineering advices for our product design and market trends in Asia Pacific.

Mr. Chan is a pioneer of network technology professional in telecommunication industry in Hong Kong with over 25 years engineering and development experience. He was an ex-Director of a US based largest telecom equipment manufacturer to providing turnkey networking architecture and design of optical network infrastructure, high-speed IP data network, Internet data center, and wireless access network in Asia Pacific.

Mr. Chan was formerly the Manager of Technology Services for the IT Division of Federal Express, the global courier company. As a manager he supervised a team of IT specialists to provide technical consultation for networking services and supporting. He also negotiated with IT product vendors and telecom operators for communication services and contracts as well as providing recommendations for new IT technology solutions and future trends for the Asia Pacific regions. Prior to this, He was worked in various technical and management positions in the Telecom sector (PCCW) specializing in digital network switching, data communication, and fax product development.

Mr. Chan holds his Bachelor of Engineering (First Class Honors) in Electrical Engineering and Master of computer Science majoring in Parallel Architecture of Data Networking from the University of New South Wales, Australia.
