Cell Unified Threat Management (UTM) is a next-generation of network security appliance with unique network processor/ASIC design, Cell's proprietary Custom Real-time Intelligent Operation System (CRiOS) and Intelligent Packet Processing Engine (IPPE) developed and embedded into a hardware appliance system. It supports fast performance up to 4Gbps, deep packet inspection engine, multiple packet matching and high compression ratio for inspection code. Cell UTM can offer a complete set of network security applications: Anti-Virus (AV) scanning and blocking, Intrusion Detection and Prevention (IDP), Instant Messaging/Peer to Peer (IM/P2P) application control and management, web application management such as anti-malicious URL and its protocol filtering.
Cell UTM with entry models from 20Mbps up to 100Mbps are designed to protect the Small Office Home Office (SOHO)/or Small & Medium Enterprise (SME) network from a wide variety of network threats. Cell UTM supports pre-defined signature rules with on-line Signatures Update (SU)/Knowledge-Base (KB) automatically from Cell Security Service Centre (SSC) to defense against any latest threats.
Cell UTM is designed to deploy at any Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) or Security Operation Centre (SOC) as a managed UTM service to end customer. Once the UTM installed at the customer's network, MSSP/SOC providers can setup customizable signature rules or appropriate policy by Cell NetsVision management platform to offer the security monitoring, logs/forensic analysis and 24x7 non-stop protection services for customers. Cell NetsVision is a centralized management platform to manage all Cell UTM devices across the networks. It is a 3-tier network architecture topology to operate, administrate and manage Cell UTM through the integration of network security technologies, policy design, signature knowledge-base, database and security procedures.
